Abstract

Especially in the transnational region Austria – Slovenia where differences in culture and language are predominant companies have to adapt their behaviour according to the cultural context. Understanding how to adapt to different business contexts is essential for success. Up to now there are no empirically consolidated findings on factors which positively or negatively affect crossborder business in this region. This paper tries to give insights and seeks to provide a systematic overview of the current situation of businesses in the region of Slovenia–Carinthia and which factors influence cross-border business most.
