Author Guidelines

General requirements:

  1. The authors are obligated to submit the paper written in Lex localis Article Form with Lex localis Title Page.
  2. The language of the manuscript submitted for consideration for possible publication will be evaluated by our editors to decide if it is of sufficient quality. The English language of the manuscript is strongly recommended to be checked by a specialist in the English language before submission.
  3. At the end of the paper has to be a literature list. All the sources of the list have to be referenced in the article, indicating the family names of the authors and the publication year, pages, e.g. (Smith, 2008: 213).
  4. Papers should be prepared by means of Microsoft Word.
  5. Please note that we use CrossCheck™ software to screen papers for unoriginal material.
  6. Authors are obligated to submit Lex localis Author's Guarantee Form.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

 

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another press for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in the Microsoft Word format.
  • Each section begins on a separate page: title page, abstract, text, appendix(es), notes, references, biographical paragraph, each table, each figure.
  • Title Page includes all authors’ names, professional titles, departments, institutions, addresses, and e-mail address.
  • Abstract is around 100 words. Keywords are given.
  • All in-text citations are included in the reference list; all references have in-text citations.
  • Reference list follows APA 6th Citation Format.
  • Figures are high resolution, and an electronic version is provided; they appear exactly as they should in the book.
  • Written, signed permission for copyrighted material has been obtained where necessary.
  • The manuscript has been read and corrected by a native speaker.
  • When you make a submission, a Turnitin plagiarism report and a Turnitin AI report are necessary. The similarity index should be lower than 20%. The AI detection index should be low enough to be considered as fully human-written, which means it should be lower than 10%.
